I used to bring my books to the dinner table too (and just about everywhere else) - ah - those were the days! Another great source for a fast fix on fiction are through podcasts on iTunes. "Escape Pod" is my favorite (sci-fi & fantasy short stories).

I just got Cross Country by James Patterson ... he's one of those authors I consider a guilty pleasure -- a fast, entertaining read. The best part to me is that even though it's still in the top 5 best-sellers, I only paid $4.49 and it was delivered to my house. I found it at www.bookins.com, my favorite book-swapping site. They also trade DVDs, again for just $4.49 per item received. The website is uncluttered and easy to use. I encourage you to take a look (www.bookins.com/index.php?p1=1c_0cq0cA).
